Completely defeated

Went to Daiso @ Plaza Sing yeaterday and bought a packet of rubber moulds (3 stick type). I planned to recast 2 more fuel tanks for the F-15 project that I'm currently doing.

Tried it out this afternoon and failed miserably. Whenever i put the rubber mould into the hot water after 5~10 mins the rubber mould would become very brittle and crack easily.

Worse still, the blue stick completely disintegrated into dust in the hot water and left me with a suspension of murky blue water. I had to slowly pinch out the blue dust and try to piece them back together. Afterwards, the whole clump of "clay" became very brittle and totally not suitable for use anymore.

Not sure how to carry on now, gotta sleep on it for abit.

The lesson of the five balls

Currently reading: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson

I simply cannot get enough of James Patterson books, they are simply a joy to read. This one has a very meaningful lesson which I personally like alot.

As quoted from the book:
"Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends and integrity. And you're keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls - family, health, friends, integrity- are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life."
